Detail Itinerary of Beijing Lhasa EBC Tour

Day 01: Take Train from Beijing to Xi'an

Take the overnight train to Xi’an from Beijing. Stay overnight on the train.

Day 02: Xi'an Tour

Arrive in Xian, check in hotel and visit terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, BanPo Museum and Underground Palace. You will see various kinds of ancient weapons which reflect the highly advanced technology in weapon-making 2,200 years ago. Stay overnight in Xi’an.

Day 03: Get Overnight Train to Lhasa from Xi’an

Get the famous sky train to Lhasa in Xi’an railway station to start the wonderful journey of exploring the highest train ride in the world. The train journey will take you about 32 hours. Stay overnight in the train.

Day 04: Arrive in Lhasa

Upon arrival in Lhasa, pick up at train station and drive to hotel. Free day in Lhasa. Stay Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 05: Lhasa Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, start your day with a visit to Potala Palace, an architectural marvel, and the winter palace of Dalai Lamas. There you explore the Dalai Lama’s living quarters, and ceremonial hall, and marvel at gilded buddhas, intricate mandalas, and jewel-encrusted tombs of generations of Dalai Lamas, and enjoy the panoramic view of Lhasa city atop Red Palace. Next, roam over the Zhongxiao Lukang Park nearby and view the Potala Palace.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the sacred Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet, and experience the famous Barkhor circuit/kora, the backstreet of Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 06: Lhasa Sightseeing Tour

Breakfast and drive to visit Drepung Monastery is one of the great three Gelugpa monasteries founded by a disciple of Tsongkhapa’s called Jamyang Chöje. At the mountaintop, the sweeping view of the enchanting Lhasa Valley will take your breath away.

In the afternoon, you will explore Sera Monastery, the second largest Gelug monastery next to Drepung. The biggest highlight is to watch the dramatic monk debate (15:00 – 17:00, from Monday to Saturday). By clapping hands, jumping, yelling, and rolling Buddhist mala, the standing monk furiously debates with the other monk sitting on the ground about Buddhist philosophy. Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 07: Lhasa-Gyantse-Shigatse(3900m, 360km, 8 hours)

Breakfast and drive to Shigatse via Gyantse tour, crossing Gampala pass (4790 m) with a glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso lake. You will also cross Korola Pass with enjoying Korola glacier from roadside, the largest glacier in Tibet has the magical power of nature.

In Gyantse, you can spend some time taking photos of the ancient city of Gyantse, and drive through barley fields and countless farms to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. Stay overnight in Shigatse.

Day 08: Shigatse (3,850m) to Everest Base Camp (5,000m)

Breakfast and drive to Everest Base Camp, crossing Gyatsola Pass (5280m) and Gawula Pass (5198m) offer great view of landscapes and mountains. Enjoy the colossal white pyramid peak of Mount Everest stands towering before you with Sunset and sparking stary sky is amazing. Stay overnight at Everest Base Camp or in the local village near EBC if the EBC tent hotels are closed during the winter season.

Day 09: Everest Base Camp to Gyirong Border(2800m, 380km, 6-7 hours)

Breakfast and drive to Gyirong Border city, witnessing the breathtaking landscapes changing from 5200 meters to 2800 meters after visiting Rongbuk Monastery, the world’s highest monastery, where nuns and monks live together at 5154 meters above sea level. On the road journey to Gyirong, you will enjoy Mount Shisapangma and Peiku Tso Lake. Stay overnight in Gyirong.

Day 10: Gyirong Border to Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will say goodbye to your Tibetan tour guide and driver. Our Nepali staff at the Nepal border port will warmly welcome you, assist you in applying for Nepal visa, and be responsible for carrying large luggage at your own expense. We ensure a safe transfer for you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

My trip with missionecotrek impressed me to lengths. My dad and I were taken such well off we were shocked with how kind and helpful our Guide Sundar was. Mr Jitendra was also very helpful, always communicating and checking up on us throughout our trip. We decided to go for Pikey Peak Trek, unfortunately we couldnt reach the peak due to our unfamiliarity with the cold weather. We requested to tweak our original itinerary and change it to something more free and easy and Mr Sundar and Jitendra Sir were very understanding and helpful with all the arrangements. I will definitely travel to nepal with missionecotrek again and will definitely recommend them to everyone! Do give them a chance to impress and sweep you off uour feet with nepals beauty!  Verified Day trip from Kathmandu via Dhuhikhel to Namobuddha and Panauti
Great day trip from Dhuhikhel to Namobuddha with our guide Jitendra.Initially a bit strenuous as we had to climb 1000 steps and were rewarded with a great view of the Himalayan mountains. We continued through villages with a lot of agriculture. Panauti is a very old town. Impressive.  Verified Manaslu/Tsum Valley Trek
We did the Manaslu + Tsum Valley Trek including some sightseeing days in Kathmandu with Mission Eco Trek and what should I say - it was a perfectly organized trip and we really enjoyed it.Already the planning from Germany was totally easy and unproblematic. We got in contact with Jitendra and within some days we got back a perfect plan for our trip. In general the contact with Jitendra was from the beginning to the end well organized, professional but at the same time super friendly and caring. He answered to all our messages super fast and also on-site during the trips in Kathmandu he adjusted everything to our wishes and always made sure we are feeling well. For our actual trip to Manaslu we had Sundar as a guide and Sanukanchha as a porter. Both of them were a really good team together and we enjoyed the time with them and felt always perfectly taking care of. Especially Sundar was super kind, always calm and no matter which problem we had - He always found a solution. During the trip he made sure we are fine during the hikes, gave the right walking speed for us, organized the best rooms and also made sure they are ok for us and never left a wish open. In the evenings he always explained what is the plan for the next days and checked if it is fine for us. Besides that he shared with us his enormous knowledge about the mountains and the way of life in there - you could really feel how much he enjoys being in the mountains.All in all I totally recommend booking directly with Mission Eco Trek. First of all the organisation of the trip by Jitendra is stress-free, flexible and super friendly. Secondly with the guiding by Sundar we felt safe, taken care of and always in good hands.And third by directly booking there we knew that we do not pay any eurpean agency but pay the persons that actually made this trip unforgetably nice!

We had a wonderful experience with Mission Eco Trek during our Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley trek. Already before we came to Nepal, we knew we were in good hands. The owner Jitendra provided a detailed itinerary and packing list, and he promptly answered all our questions. It was his idea to include Tsum Valley in our plan as we had enough time and it was absolutely worth it.We started the trip with a two-day tour of Kathmandu getting to know the main sights before heading off on the trek. The trek itself was well planned but also allowed for some flexibility. Our guide Sundar was fantastic! He kept a slow and steady pace, so that we could keep up, and shared facts about the surrounding mountains during our breaks. Each evening, he briefed us about the next day’s route, making sure we were well prepared and feel fit for another day of trekking. We always felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for with him.We would definitely use the Mission Eco Trek again on our next trip to Nepal.

 Verified Fantastic 4 day Pikey Peak trek
A fantastic experience from start to finish. Jitendra was helpful, organised and friendly, very easy to work with. Our guide Sundar was super! He arranged everything very well for us and made sure we were always happy. He was so kind and a genuinely lovely man. The short trek itself was worth the long bumpy drive from Kathmandu. We stayed in simple, clean tea houses all which had really good food. We were fortunate to have the most amazing views from Pikey peak for sunrise on the 3rd day. We opted for a longer walk on day 3 to get us back to kathmandu earlier on day 4. Don't hesitate to book if you're short on time but still want to see amazing views of the Himalayas (weather permitting)!
